Nigeria postpones Presidential and Parliamentary polls

Nigeria’s Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), announced Friday night the postponement of the Presidential and National Assembly elections that were scheduled to hold nationwide today.

In a statement issued in Abuja and personally signed by its Chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakub, the commissioned gave the new date for the election as Saturday, 23rd February 2019.

It also shifted the Governorship and State Assembly election from March 2 to Marcy 9, 2019.
